Faircom New York employs several techniques to identify large donors and solicit major gifts
from them.
First we offer advisory services to non-profit organizations regarding the recruiting, cultivation and
management of their board of advisors and board of directors in the pursuit of identifying and cultivating
potential large donors. The strategic management of board creation and the interaction between boards and
the development department is of paramount importance as the first step in soliciting large gifts.
Faircom New York also specializes in capturing prospective large donors through events, on-line outreach,
communications, and direct mail. Once we begin to build a base of donors, or once we are given an
organization's already existing base for analysis, we can identify large donors through wealth
screening and other econometric modeling. We then actively upgrade those donors to convert
them to major supporters, either through direct giving or planned giving.
Once prospective large donors are identified, Faircom New York will deploy many techniques to convert
them to loyal supporters. These will include the creation of capital campaigns, events, seminars,
face to face meetings, and mailings.
We strongly recommend direct mail as a means to build a donor base from which we may identify potential
large donors. Donors acquired through direct mail will comprise the base from which an organization
can solicit bequests, and identify wealthy people for more targeted solicitation for capital campaigns
or events marketing.
Our third line of approach is to offer sophisticated guidance and execution in the formulation of planned
giving campaigns. Planned giving includes the solicitation of bequests, enrollment in charitable annuities,
the promotion of gifts given in stock or via other transfers of wealth providing significant tax incentives.
